Sinohaven 華埠
Ongoing project
Sinohaven 華埠 is an ongoing documentary project by photographer Tyler Chan (US)
and researcher/writer Edison Ng (HK), diving deeper into the lives of people in ethnic
Chinese communities across the Netherlands. Through interviews, and field research, the
project documents personal stories of migration, work, identity, and everyday life within
both established Chinatowns and other towns throughout the country.
The project aims to create a living archive of voices and stories that have shaped
Chinese communities in the Netherlands across generations. From some of the early migrants
to their descendants, who helped build the cultural foundations that continue to exist today.
